The first day of staging went well. Altogether there will be sixty seven volunteers going to Ghana. The lady said usually they send two groups of volunteers a year to Ghana, but this is the first year they are sending just one group over. There are volunteers from all over the United States and ranging from recent college graduates to volunteers around their sixties.
After staging was over I went with a few other volunteers to dinner. We all ended up getting a Philly Cheese Steak and then we all went to the City Tavern . The City Tavern is where John Adams and other signers of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution went to eat and have a few drinks. Tomorrow, June 3, I will be waking up around 5:20 A.M. to prepare for my day. It will be a long day of traveling.
